Apps & automation

OneConnectTurn incoming data into controlled, traceable business processes.

In development

OneConnect is in development. It automates business processes based on incoming XML, CSV or text data, replacing older iConnect-style integrations and manual SB+ screen sequences with controlled processes that capture inputs, run configured agents, log outcomes, notify users on errors and allow targeted retry.

OneConnect is in development. This page describes the current design and planned direction rather than a general-availability release.

01 / The problem it solves

When an automated transaction fails, you need to know which one, and why.

Older iConnect-style integrations and manual SB+ screen sequences can be difficult to support when a transaction fails. Finding the failure, fixing the data and re-running just that item is often manual work.

OneConnect turns each process into a controlled, data-driven transaction with an explicit outcome, logging, notification and retry.

02 / Capabilities

What OneConnect does.

What the current design does

  • Monitors configured watch locations
  • Processes incoming XML, CSV or text files
  • Runs configurable business process agents
  • Routes files and logs to Completed or Error
  • Keeps detailed success and failure logs
  • Sends targeted email alerts and supports retry from a dashboard

Processes in initial testing

  • Planned order release
  • Invoice updates and stock adjustments
  • Service labour and despatch confirmation
  • Job scheduling
  • Price list updates
In development

Planned direction

  • Additional process agents for customer, supplier, item, purchase contract and other ERP transactions.
  • Each process or agent is defined and implemented under control; not every SB+ process is automatically generic.

Capabilities are confirmed release by release. Talk to us about which features are available in the version being discussed.

03 / How it works

From an incoming file to a controlled outcome.

This describes the current design. Details may change as development continues.

01

Watch

The OneConnect service monitors configured watch locations.

02

Trigger

An incoming XML, CSV or text file triggers the configured process agent.

03

Execute

The agent runs the approved UniData/SB+ business process using the supplied input values.

04

Route

On success the file and log move to Completed; on failure they move to Error.

05

Recover

A Windows dashboard shows processing, completed and errored files, logs and retry actions; subscribers receive email alerts.

04 / Deployment & integration

Where it runs and what it connects to.

We install, configure and support OneConnect as part of your wider system landscape, and shape each deployment around the systems you already use.

05 / How it fits

Connectivity is the trigger. Process execution is the value.

OneBridge moves files; OneConnect uses incoming data to execute controlled business processes. That is why it sits under Apps & automation rather than pure integration.

OneAutomate is different again: it coordinates multi-step operational work across on-premises and cloud environments.

This site is in development and this page will be updated shortly.
