Systems Integration & APIs

Plan in the right tool. Keep your ERP in step.

Connect your ERP to a modern planning tool so works orders and calendars are available to planners, and schedule and due-date changes flow back without spreadsheets or manual uploads.

The problem

Planning shouldn't live in a spreadsheet.

Many manufacturers plan in Excel, then transfer changes to the ERP in a weekly, manually triggered process. By the time the ERP catches up, the plan has moved on.

A dedicated planning tool helps, but it needs fast access to works orders and plant calendars, and its decisions need to reach the ERP that drives purchasing, production and despatch. We build the connection between the two.

What the integration does

  • Makes works orders and plant calendars available to the planning tool.
  • Caches data for fast reads, so planners aren't waiting on the ERP.
  • Submits schedule and due-date changes back into your ERP.
  • Refreshes from the source so both systems agree.
  • Can extend to labour booking, shop-floor status and production updates.
01 / How it works

A round trip that protects your ERP.

01

Capture

Works orders and calendars are read from your ERP and held ready for fast access.

02

Plan

Planners reschedule in the planning tool using current information.

03

Submit

Start, end and due-date changes are validated and submitted into the ERP.

04

Refresh

Data is refreshed from the source, so the plan reflects what the ERP accepted.

02 / Dennis Eagle

Automatic rescheduling of works orders.

Dennis Eagle's planning process ran in Excel, with a weekly manual transfer into Avante. They wanted to move planning onto a digital platform.

We built a bespoke prototype to prove that start and end dates of related works orders could be controlled in the new planning tool and sent back to Avante. The proof of concept worked, giving Dennis Eagle the confidence to start a full project, with the aim of connecting production monitoring and other applications so information can flow right across the business.
