UNIX to Windows Server Move

Rolls-Royce understands the importance of customer satisfaction and the value of business reputation. I see the same understanding from Web Control.

We began our journey with Web Control in 2005 and have always found them to excel at customer relations. More importantly, their technical support of an ever-aging Infoflo system has been faultless. An honest open relationship allows us to receive immediate support at those critical times, and the adoption of a helpdesk system means other issues are always addressed in a timely manner too.

During our recent migration of Infoflo to a Windows based system, they consistently applied their understanding of our needs by taking a flexible approach to changing priorities. Their willingness to work with the end users to get to the heart of the issues should also be commended. They delivered the solution in the timetable that they promised and the follow up support has also been exemplary.

I would not hesitate in recommending Web Control to any companies out there who continue to struggle with support of their legacy ERP system.

SAP Project

We went live on SAP after a long weekend of preparation. We had a couple of minor issues which were picked up by you guys during Saturday and Sunday. Apart from that it all went really well and we even shipped on the first day!

Webstore

Just to give you some feedback on the Webstore project which went live at the beginning of last month as I feel it's always good to give feedback where possible.

Both Mo and Martin worked exceptionally hard to get the website up and running on time and I must say I was impressed with how quickly we managed to get the site live.

We have received positive comments from customers and internal staff on how professional the site looks plus how easy it is to navigate through. We linked the website nicely into Infoflo, for customers to view orders, invoices etc but for customers without an account, they pay on credit card at full list price which allows us to capturing passing trade.

Once again, thank you to Web Control for working with us to get this project live.

Emergency Cover

We were an early customer of Web Control and started to use them for two main reasons. Firstly, they are very open, honest and approachable, nothing was too much trouble and we certainly had fun stretching our old Infoflo system to the limit with some imaginative solutions for our manufacturing, supply base and financial reporting.

Compare this to their competitor of the day and they were worlds apart. Secondly, the support model we used at the time of 'pay as use' and 'banked hours' with Web Control was a breath of fresh air. With Infoflo at that time well past any new development and their competitors charges getting higher for no real benefit, switching to Web Control not only allowed us to reduce our monthly support costs, but more importantly allowed us to use what we did spend on real improvements and developments. The money we were spending was now not just an 'insurance' against an unlikely failure in stable program with their competitors, we used the maintenance money with Web Control instead to develop and add some real features and benefits to our system.

I have to admit I was a little nervous at first with the perception that 'emergency' cover would be less with Web Control compared to the support model of their competitor. However, the couple of times I had a real emergency, I found that the Web Control team knew instinctively the urgency and took all the necessary action to resolve it quickly.

Again, compare this to their competitors model of back and forth signing forms promising to pay because the code was maybe slightly 'bespoked' before they even looked at the issue, and you soon realised that the 'emergency' cover was not that timely with their competitor after all.

E-Commerce Solution

Ambirad contacted Web Control to assist in the development of an E-Commerce solution for the business. The Webstore we were presented with was simple to use, integrated brilliantly with Infoflo and was developed inline with our existing website style.

The Webstore has the ability for customers to see their current account status live from Infoflo, View/Update delivery addresses, resend past invoices and view order progress.

The implementation of the Webstore has improved our customer service and allowed customers to order parts anytime of the day. The knowledge and support from Web Control was excellent and the project was delivered inline with budget and on time.

A Refreshing Change

Web Control’s approach to supporting our Infoflo system has been a refreshing change, migration from our legacy hardware to a Windows platform went without any major issues and support has been excellent since the move.

All of the staff have been professional and have had a great attitude to fixing our issues or implementing bespoke functionality without hesitation - something that was challenge previously. We have also benefit from bespoke training, with knowledgeable staff tailoring the course to our specific needs. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship for many years to come.
